In collaboration with the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht (Art Academie of Utrecht) Jeanne van Heeswijk and Dennis Kaspori gave during 9 weeks a master class to students of the department of Fine Arts and Spatial Design. The students made independent research to IJburg, their inhabitants and the experiences of living on this new island. The master class took place in 2007, 2008 and 2009. Projects that have been executed are: the Chill-ROOM by Ingrid Meus, the Car hotel by Eveline de Munck Mortier, The Artificial Tree by Bart Janssen (which is still work in process), Motel Out of The Blue (which will be held in August 2009).
Projects of 2009 are: Air Out Your Dirty Laundry, Missing Dogs, Missing Otherness, FACING THE OTHER, a research about mothers on IJburg, Acentered Harmony in IJburg, The Artist Gives Certificated Authentic Turkish Hugs for Free, I am the sun, drawings of Lei Wu about the surroundings of The Blue House and PriVEE.org.

School making / Education
Besides reaching regular audience and professionals The Blue House thinks it also important to inform students about art in public space, the development of places like IJburg but also to involve them to the project. It is not just about new audience but more important is that there is an exchange of mutual knowledge and experience.
